I had a birthday on September 10, 2011, I turned 43 years old. I had a nice dinner with friends and family at Tony Roma’s in the east end of Hamilton.
There are a lot of activities happening for the month of September. I will try and not to forget something.
1. Tomorrow is the premier of POWERFUL AS GOD.
Powerful as God reveals how the agency has wielded legislation, intended to protect vulnerable lives, as a weapon to tear communities apart and deflect from social and financial accountability with a public that enables it. This documentary also uncovers an urgent systemic matter, critically affecting the lives of thousands of children and families from every income, cultural and religious community in the province.
As an academic research work produced in the Documentary Media (MFA) program at Ryerson University, it incorporates thirteen experts (family lawyers from both sides, doctors, social workers, elected politicians) and thirteen witnesses (foster parents, group-home worker, natural parents, adopter, former foster children, etc.) from across Ontario.
The director and witnesses will be in attendance to receive questions after the film. The film will be available for free to the public, through the website, www.blakout.ca on September 17, 2011.

4. We are organizing for the October 24, 2011 GRAPE EXPECTATIONS EVENT to be held at Carmen’s Banquet Center. Stay tuned for more details on this event. It would be great to have a showing at both the Family Court house and at Carmen’s this year. It will be our 7th year in a row rallying against Children’s Aid Society in Hamilton. Due to weather and lack of interest we didn’t do it last year.

Hi, I was adopted out by the CAS about three months after i was born in Toronto general hospital back in 1965.
I was beaten, abuse, molested and my adopted mother was beaten many times in a 13 year span till I ran away turning sixteen/.
The OPP police didnt do anything about it as they were friends with the stepfather who abused us.
I was molested several times by two stepbrothers.
Childrens aid never checkd on me as we lived on a trapline in northern ontario.
I am non native - I am Irish white as far as I kno9w.
I was a raving drug addict and alcoholic since 16 to kill my nightmares.
I am now 46 with 6 wonderful kids but i still cant function with all this hurt inside.
I want to literally disasemble the chiuldrens aid society for what they let happen to me - but for now I'd like a few million dollars fo 30 plus years of torment.
I am poor, we run a second hand store for a few bucks, can anyone help me please?
I have never gon public - but itsa time the truth come out.
Please someone help me.
